I remember it like it was yesterday, the anticipation at every checkup when I was pregnant. The check for heartbeat of the baby. The anxiety and anticipation were basically one in the same. We all yearn to hear the heartbeat, pumping away, beat by beat. Then, 40-ish short weeks later, we hold the sweet babe in our hands and then the only time you hear the heartbeat, feel the heartbeat, is when your baby is safely cuddling in your arms.
