a gorgeous, sturdy and affordable crib :: review

When you find out you are expecting, after all the excitement…shock…etc. wears off, you start thinking about the reality of the situation. For starters, one of the first things you think about is most likely diapers, cute clothes and where the baby will sleep. One of our first purchases when we found out we were expecting was a crib. However, at the time, we didn’t have a lot of money. So, we went for a safe, used crib. It did the trick, but all I longed for was one of the Pottery Barn-esque scenes in our baby’s nursery – crib included!

Fast forward to today, we recently had our last baby girl and I now have the gorgeous crib I wanted for so long! There are SO many things I have to point out about this. Worth every cent.

For starters, it didn’t break the bank. You guys, the crib I’m sharing with you today can be found at Target for $299! WHAT!!? It’s part of the Rowen Collection from Simmons Kids/Delta Children. And it’s completely gorgeous.
rowen-simmons-grey-roomSecond, this crib is not only a crib, it’s a transitional one. Meaning it will grow with our Kensington as she grows. It’s a 4-in-1, exactly what we are looking for. It’s great to have a crib, but when the baby grows out of the crib, which they will do all too soon, then it’s on to the next piece of furniture to match the existing room. Not with this setup. It converts from crib – to a toddler bed – to a daybed – to a full size bed with headboard & footboard (additional pieces sold separately).

You can pick up the Rowen Collection at your local Target for $299, but if you can’t seem to find it, check out the Simmons website to look further in to it. Next on my shopping list is to get the dresser to compliment this crib. I need to hunt this bad boy down – I can’t wait!

Third was the construction. Easy-peasy! It was put together in well under 1/2 an hour. LOVE that too!

I just love so much about this, can you tell? I highly encourage you to check this out. I guarantee you will not be disappointed. It takes a lot to impress me, as I see so much, and THIS has impressed!!

What do you think? Are you as blown away as I was with this gorgeous and affordable collection? Talk to me!

This crib is gorgeous! Can you use bumpers with this crib? Doesn’t appear to be anything to tie them to in the back.

Thank you! I have used Wonder Bumpers and they fit fine. Here is a link 🙂 http://www.gomamagodesigns.com/wonder-bumpers.html But, yes, there are no openings in the back “wall” of the crib to tie anything. Hope that helps!

    What a beautiful crib! I love the color, it’s so different. It’s great that it’s a 4 in 1.
