A fun addition to our library here at home came the beginning of May, and if you follow us on Instagram, you will have already seen it. A sneak peak, so to speak. I WANTED to share this with you guys a lot sooner, but I had been spending a lot of time with my Grandpa and family, and I just ran OUT of time to share. But, never fear…it eventually gets to you!
Mo Willems books are some of the favorites in our home, so to learn about a new one stat was quite exciting. This one didn’t disappoint either! His books are witty, funny and the drawings are so simplistic, you wouldn’t think they would be loved so much. But they are! I love that the books are so simple, because our new AND old readers enjoy every.single.line.
With the context of this book being “to thank”, I thought it was quite applicable in thanking my family for all they’ve done. With my grandfather’s recent passing, it was quite fun to think back and write single line thank yous, from the kids, to family members. Loved this little exercise. Helped us cherish the time we had with him, and have fun while remembering and writing the lines.
Gerald is careful. Piggie is not.
Piggie cannot help smiling. Gerald can.
Gerald worries so that Piggie does not have to.
Gerald and Piggie are best friends.
In The Thank You Book!, Piggie wants to thank EVERYONE. But Gerald is worried Piggie will forget someone . . . someone important.
Before you go, be sure to visit ThankoRama.com and share below what you are thankful for. Share what you want to thank someone for. Can’t we all just get a little more thankful goin’ on??? 🙂 Click on over now and download the Pink Speech Bubble or the Grey Speech Bubble — how fun!
