Our house has crayons and scissors and paper and tape and all kinds of craft supplies at the ready and easily accessible at all times. It’s not uncommon to find my kids drawing in their “Dino Field Guides” or painting pictures for their art wall. Legos are every day toys and we have special spots for the Lego creations that aren’t quite complete and need a place to rest until they can be finished. But when I got this Makedo Box Prop Robot Kit I hid it until I really needed it. My kids were all whiny and losing their minds and I needed something to bring them together before I got whiny and lost my mind, so I opened it up about an hour before bedtime and holy cow the team work. They got out the crayons and picked who would color which piece. They needed a little help attaching the ‘scrus’ but other than that, they created this robot all on their own.

The Box Prop Robot Kit included 12 robot props made of a sturdy, reusable, and easy-t0-color plastic “paper” and 8 orange scrus. Twist the scrus into your own box and attach the props that you just colored. So simple!

This part didn’t take very long but here’s what I didn’t expect: making the robot apparently sparked a billion other ideas and they were cutting and coloring and gluing all the things! Not only did they create the robot but also a jewelry display, a small jet, and part of a big jet (which should be finished by tomorrow, I’m told).

When I opened it up I had no idea that I should have allotted a much bigger chunk of time, and I felt guilty when I had to pull them all away from their creations. But I was so impressed with how much they loved them and how much free-thinking it sparked that I let Santa know that the Make Anything Kit for Three would be a welcome addition.

This sounds great, kind of reminds of walle. Great to keep the kids occupied and working together.
