I’m usually pretty in-the-know about things that happen on the internet, so I’m not sure how I made it this long without seeing The Piano Guys in action, but I’m glad I finally caught up with the rest of you! If you’re like me and managed to miss The Piano Guys become a YouTube sensation, take a second to check out this awesomeness. These guys are mash-up geniuses!
The Piano Guys bring the same enthusiasm and unique technique and sound to their Christmas album, A Family Christmas. The album is full of familiar tunes like “Silent Night” and “Away in the Manger”, each with a signature The Piano Guys twist. My favorite song on the album is probably “Where Are You Christmas?” which features pianist Jon Schmidt’s young daughter Sara as the vocalist. (You can see the live version here). The sweetness of a little child singing a solo gets me every time!
When we decorate our Christmas tree next week, this album will certainly be playing! And we’ll probably pop over and check out several of their Christmas videos on youtube, too!
