Are your kids already going stir crazy from not being at school every day? Mine keep asking what we are going to do today and is it the weekend and pretty please can we do something fun??? I am a working mom so my weekdays are pretty full already but we have gotten a huge kick out of a little project my son brought home from school that I wanted to share with you. I am not a big craft mom or a “let’s find the most high-intensity project out there and spend the day putting it together” person in general. Low key, easy, super low maintenance. That is me, in a nutshell (my husband MIGHT disagree a wee bit). So here is an easy-peasy, can’t mess it up, fun little afternoon craft that your little one will enjoy for weeks (months??) to come ::
Supplies ::
1 clear plastic cup
grass seeds
googly eyes
construction paper
good old fashioned dirt
Directions ::
Draw mustache on construction paper and cut out.
Glue googly eyes and mustache cut-out onto cup to make Dirt Man’s face.
Fill cup with a small amount of dirt.
Add grass seeds to soil and top off with a layer of dirt.
Water and wait for Dirt Man’s hair to magically appear.
Enjoy as children fall in love with Dirt Man and his ever-growing hair.
Trim as needed.
