As you well know by now we have an extended fur family that we treat as if they are family. My daughter is in the process of redecorating her room and wanted a sign to show her love of animals. She is determined to be a veterinarian when she grows up. We have already dedicated a wall for Gabby, our Labrador that passed away this past winter and she want’s to include Oreo, our pet cat. I had some leftover chalk board paper and decided this would be great for her “You Had me at Meow” sign. Since we have been going to the vet more frequently than normal she has been able to see how most of the rooms are decorated and fell in love with the sign “You Had me at Meow”.
Materials:
- Chalkboard paper
- Chalk Markers
- Frame
STEP 1 :: The first thing I would do is type out a design that you want to use. Then chalk the back of the paper so that you can trace it onto you Chalkboard Paper. I love watching my children get excited about an art project, and it will mean so much more to her knowing that she made it herself instead of mama making it for her.
STEP 2 :: Now use your Chalk Markers and decorate the design any way you like. My daughter decided to use all the colors we had that matched her room.
STEP 3 :: Now all you have to do is color it how you want it to be colored and put it in a frame for all to see.
This SIMPLE DIY :: “You Had me at Meow” Sign is so simple anyone can make it. Now my daughter has a unique framed sign that she made herself to display in her room for all to see. She was so proud of how it turned out! So much more rewarding to see your child happy with what they have created.
Would you hang this sign in your home?
