The big game is over, which means so is football for the season. It also means football parties are done until next year too! We just had our annual Super Bowl party and of course we had amazing appetizers, dips, and more! It seems that all the things surrounding the football game can bring as much fun as the game itself. Super Bowl squares, a big spread of food, commercials, halftime shows, and time together with friends and family are as much a part of the Super Bowl to me as the 2 teams playing.
While we may not be getting together for football games anytime soon, we will still have parties and get-togethers with family and friends so I wanted to share one of our traditional football dips that is always a hit with everyone-Reuben Dip! It’s a spin off one of my favorites sandwiches, and it’s a cheesy mix of meat and creamy goodness with bread as the dipper. There’s not much you won’t love about this perfect addition to any party.
Reuben Party Dip
Ingredients:
16 oz. cream cheese, softened
8 oz. mayo
8 oz. sour cream
8 oz. shredded swiss cheese
8 oz. corned beef, chopped small
Mix all ingredients together in a 3 quart casserole dish and bake at 350 for 1-1/2 hours. Can also be baked inside a hallowed out loaf of rye bread. For dipping, cut up a loaf of rye bread into small chunks and serve together.
Hope you try this out at your next gathering of family and friends! It’s always a recipe that gets requested by someone at a party!
