This past Christmas, my mom gave me a crock pot cookbook. Best. Gift. Ever. More than 350 crock pot recipes at my fingertips. Thank you, mom!! Some days I just flip through for fun and check out the yummy things I can make in my crock pot. On one such occasion, I came across this gem and it looked so deliciously different that I had to give it a try.
Ingredients ::
1 1/2 lbs boneless pork loin, cut into 6 pieces or 6 boneless pork loin chops
4 medium Golden Delicious apples, peeled and sliced
3 Tbsp packed brown sugar
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp salt
Cooking Directions ::
Put meat in crock pot and cover with sliced apples.
Combine brown sugar, cinnamon and salt in small bowl. Sprinkle mixture over apples.
Cook on low for 6 to 8 hours.
Now as is my custom, I used what I had in the house so i substituted a sirloin pork roast I had from Costco and gala apples instead of golden delicious. Delish!!
