According to Safe Kids, Halloween is the most dangerous day of the year for children under 14 to walk. Unfortunately, children are four times more likely to be killed while walking on Halloween than any other night of the year. Step2’s Safety Sam is trying his best to keep neighborhoods and children safe, but we need to continue to spread the word about children pedestrian safety. Educating our children about outdoor play safety and notifying drivers that there are children walking and playing on around the area are two important ways to keep them safe while playing outdoors.
