If you’re like me when you hear someone mention aden + anais you think about awesome swaddlers, SIMPLE mom Kate even shared before what an fantastic baby burrito she was able to make using an aden + anais muslin swaddler with our readers (review here). Little did I know that they have a lot of other great muslin goodies to share with the world!
“That sounds nice, but what exactly is muslin?” You can read a great explanation from aden + anais on their site with a very condensed history of muslin, but the short of it is that muslin is woven cotton fabric. Pretty simple.
We were very lucky to try out a aden + anais hooded towel & washcloth set which includes a muslin washcloth, styled in our exclusive prints, and a hooded, plush terry towel that keeps little heads warm and dry. The hooded towel is double layered of 100% cotton terry and measuring at 32” x 32” it is easily large enough for my 2 year old (who measures in the 90+ percentile for height) to easily fit. A hooded towel that’s soft enough to use on a newborn, but large enough to still cover a 2 year old? A-mah-ZING!
The four-layer washcloth gets softer after each wash, making it extra gentle on baby’s delicate skin. I love how big these washcloths are too, measuring in at 15” x 15″, it’s actually large enough to once again be used as your child grows out of the baby/newborn stage! The washcloths also have a loop on them so you can hang them to dry, saving you from having a wet washcloth creating a funky smell on the bottom of the bathtub.
The quality of the aden + anais hooded towel and washcloths both shine through and I am confident that we will get quite a few years of use from both. Even after both my girls have outgrown the towel for their bodies, I’ve found that baby-sized hooded towels make great head wraps to dry their hair. my SIMPLE star rating :: 5 out of 5
hooded towel & washcloth set :: $32.00
