an adorable, fun and comfortable dress for under under $40, from chadwick’s of boston

With summer in full swing, I find my husband and I always looking towards the next date night. I don’t know if it’s because the weeks are so crazy, or if it’s because the kids are home 24/7, (keep in mind both my husband and I work from home), or if it’s just because we can’t wait to have a full sentence conversation. Nonetheless, date nights are plentiful in the summer months because we yearn for them so. I do like having them scheduled because then it gives me a reason to get dolled up for my honey. I know, I shouldn’t need a reason, but in the thralls of parenting, don’t you just find yourself wearing shorts and t-shirts in these hot, hot, BUSY, running around summer months? Ok, ok. Maybe it’s just me. Ha!

Chadwick’s of Boston sent me a fun dress that I will be wearing for date nights this summer. Not only can I wear it for date nights this summer, but in the fall too with a denim jacket, as I’m sharing in this post. I chose to show it with the denim jacket, because we can all image what a sleeveless dress looks like. I’m hoping this post will give you the oomph to get out and buy this baby up.

For starters, you can get this in three different colors. I opted for the Blubonnet in this adorable Button Front Shirtdress. The other two colors offered are pretty fun too. I was going for a more classic look, that’s why I chose this print.

The button down and tie waist look is very flattering, when it hits just right. In my opinion, the tie on this hits just right. I don’t find myself pulling or tugging at it when I’m wearing it. That’s a win! Plus, if you can tie a bow, adorable!

Ok, back to business. The Naturalizer pumps I’m sharing in this post were just perfect too. Now, these were from a bit ago, but you can find more just like these on Naturalizers’ site. Huge fan of this brand and still loving these (they have worn GREAT) for some time now.

And the accessories, went pretty minimalistic. No necklace, dangle earrings and of course, my Alex & Ani. Heck, I can’t remember the last time I DIDN’T have on Alex & Ani.
