ArtFolds :: fold a book into a sculpture :: review

ArtFoldsTM  are books I can say I’ve never seen before. It’s a book that you fold into a sculpture, a work of art. I asked a little friend of mine for some help with this review. Let me introduce you to William.

artfoldsWilliam is a strong-willed, smart, busy boy. He’s a twin and one of 5 boys in his family. He is in the same class as my own son. He got my Jack interested in origami. I had a feeling that he would enjoy the challenge of an artfold book. I was hoping that while he was accepting this challenge, his mom (a dear friend of mine) would get a little break. Sometimes you need to channel the energy of a curious boy. He accomplished the task at hand and did a great job!

ArtFoldsTM are books that contain simple guidelines for folding pages to create personal works of art. Think origami, but with a book! In just a few hours, you can transform a book into a sculpture that you and your loved ones will cherish for years to come.

While finished book sculptures are available for purchase directly from artists – often for more than $150 each! ArtFoldsTM is the first and only product that lets anyone fold their own. Our patent-pending folding process is so easy, most sculptures can be completed in a single evening.

Plus, each title contains compelling, artfully typeset reading, appropriate for a distinguished book that you or your loved ones will put on permanent display!

Wow this is pretty cool! When I was younger my friends sister had a whole dresser full of origami sculptures and she was so good at it. I always wanted to learn, but the only thing I learned to make was a swan.
