Christmas carols are playing. Holiday sales have started. Some of us have even seen some snow. It’s time to deck the halls at home, too. I love decorating for Christmas. It’s really the only time of the year that I feel like my house is completely festive. My favorite thing to use in decorating is from nature–greenery, berries, pine cones. I love feeling like a bit of nature is in my home. Not only does it look lovely, but it brings in the fresh smells as well.
One of my favorite go-to items to bring nature inside are wreaths. Sure, they look fabulous on a front door. But there are so many other places for wreaths as well. I actually hang quite a few wreaths in my house, where I can enjoy them all day. One of my favorite spots to hang a wreath is on a vintage window that is hanging above my sliding door in an awkward space between the door and our high ceiling.
Creekside Farms is the place to go if you’re looking for a natural, beautiful wreath. All of their wreaths are handmade in the USA and are made using pesticide-free greens such as bay, eucalyptus and rosemary along with lavender, flowers and herbs. Their Christmas wreaths are amazing. So many options from traditional greens to artichokes to shaped wreaths and garland. And the fresh greens will naturally dry and can be displayed as a dried arrangement as well.
I just hung the fresh artichoke wreath in my favorite spot and I keep finding myself glancing up at it. It is so full and has so many great elements such as hydrangea, pine cones, dried artichokes, quince slices and colorful gourds. I love the fullness of the wreath and all of the detail. And it smells amazing! You can absolutely tell this is not something I picked up at a big box store.
And, just for the record, wreaths (while absolutely gorgeous at Christmas time) are not just a Christmas decoration! I think my artichoke wreath is fabulous for fall and there are some stunning floral and herb wreaths that would look gorgeous in spring and summer.
A wreath from Creekside Farms would make a fabulous gift for a boss or co-worker or an extra-special hostess gift. Or just a great addition to your holiday decor any time of year.
