Anyone else love lattes? I’m a HUGE fan of the latte. It’s so bad that my children know my order at the local coffee shop drive through, “Mom will have a super latte!” Of course, visiting the local coffee shop drive through is not always practical and definitely isn’t a money saving tactic.
This is why I’ve had a milk frother at home for quite a few years now. I get to indulge in my latte addiction while having significantly less impact on my pocketbook. Sadly, my old milk frother was starting to smell like it would start on fire at any moment (all in all, not good!). Not wanting to start a house fire I was on the search for a new milk frother when Sherwood contacted us about their milk frother. After some research I could see that the Sherwood milk frother was exactly what I was looking for!
Besides for the basic function of frothing milk there is one thing I have found to be universal with milk frothers. There is always some component of the frother that cannot be immersed in water or should not get wet period. The Sherwood milk frother is no different but cleaning out the inside of their nonstick inner canister is fairly simple and it was easy to keep the important components from getting wet.
There are some special features about the Sherwood milk frother that I am a HUGE fan of. First, it has a magnetic whisk for the frothing action in the canister. When I mentioned how impressive this was to my contact with Sherwood they pointed out that this is usually why other frothers start to die (exactly like my old milk frother had) and that the magnetic whisk would help extend the life of the frother!
Personally, I’m a latte fan, but when coming inside from playing in the snow on a cold winter day my 4-year-old cannot get enough chocolate milk. While frothing is important to me, my Sherwood milk frother gets an equal workout from making perfectly warmed milk for hot cocoa.
The last two features I love are that there is a cold frother setting for making delicious iced lattes when summer rolls back around, and the color choices. Not 1 or 2, but 4 colors to choose from! Oh yeah, and if you’d like to make one of your coffee house favorites? They have a whole section of recipes on their site to help you achieve that perfect beverage!
One lucky SIMPLE reader will win a Sherwood milk frother in the color of their choice. Enter below:
