I was absolutely THRILLED the first time I sat down and read this sweet story to my son. I fell in love with the unforgettable stuffed animal named Audrey Bunny and could not wait for her to find out that she was loved despite her imperfections.
About Audrey Bunny
From best-selling women’s author Angie Smith (I Will Carry You, Mended) comes this sweet children’s book about a stuffed animal named Audrey Bunny who fears her imperfections make her unworthy of a little girl’s love. She’ll learn the truth soon enough, and young readers will learn that everyone is special and wonderfully made by God.
[Also included]: The Parent Connection (last page of the book) shares discussion questions and activities reinforcing God’s love for us.
The illustrations in this story are beautiful! The soft tones make it a perfect bedtime story because they are not overstimulating, but at the same time they depict what is happening in a very real way for children.
As a parent sometimes we are unsure what questions to ask to help our children understand something (at least I know I do). I love that there is a Parent Connection portion to this book. Reading stories to our children is wonderful, but teaching them about a loving God is even more important! So I love that there is an emphasis on the theme of this book!
“I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.”
