baby and toddler multitasking from the bumbo multi seat :: review

When you are an experienced parent you will inevitably get the “What do you recommend?” or “What products couldn’t you live without?” question from your friends and family who are about to become first time parents. It doesn’t matter if your ‘experienced parent’ status was achieved 5 weeks or 5 years ago, as long as you have some relatively current knowledge that can be shared.

In the past whenever this question was directed my way one of the few items I always recommended was a Bumbo seat. When it came time to resupply our nursery for the new arrival on the way I didn’t even think twice about adding a Bumbo seat to my list of “Must Haves.”

Then Bumbo went and got even better. Have you seen their new Multi Seat? Mind. Blown. The ingenious Bumbo Multi Seat is a 3 stage seating solution that is perfect for those of us who live in small spaces or who just like baby products that can adapt for continued use as our little ones grow.

Here’s a quick break down of the 3 different stages and ways you can use the Bumbo Multi Seat ::

Stage 1 :: Floor Seat – for children able to sit upright unaided; has a 3-point harness included

Stage 2 :: Feeding Seat – for mealtime; comes with a conveniently stored tray and safety straps to secure seat to a chair

Stage 3 :: Booster Seat – for a boost during mealtime or playtime; just remove the molded foam insert and you can fit a child up to 33 lb.

Besides for the almost expected features for this seat of accommodating multiple stages (it’s in the name after all), the easy ability to clean, the multiple colors, and the Bumbo quality; I have 3 features I haven’t shared yet that made me fall even more in love with the Multi Seat.

First, while the baby is little the chair attachment straps are securely clicked into the sides of the seat with the loose straps are easily stored out of sight in the base. Secondly, the seat pad also stores in the base when you are ready to graduate your little one to just a booster. Third, the base itself easily and securely adjusts in two height positions!
