This summer has been full, y’all. Really full. We’ve been in and out a lot but doing things that we all enjoy, like going to the library, the bowling alley, and the pool. We’ve even taken a few short trips to the beach and the mountains. But we’ve also had days where we haven’t gotten out of our jammies. Regardless of what kind of day we’ve had, one thing has been constant this summer: my lack of meal planning. Life is so much easier and we eat much better when I plan our meals. Our wallets and our waistlines are ready for us to be back in our regularly scheduled life.
I’ve talked about how much I love eMeals before. It’s simple. It’s fast. It’s good. When the week’s recipes land in my email inbox, I glance at them to make sure that it’s something we’ll all eat (and it usually is) and then pop over to the iphone app to add any extra things we may need to the grocery list. I love that the app automatically makes a list of what you need to buy for the week and how easy it is to add extra items that you might be needing or you can remove items that you already have.
When it’s time to prepare your meal, just click back onto the app and follow the step by step instructions for the main dish and side dish. eMeals also now has a dessert menu subscription, if you’re wanting a little something extra after dinner.
And did you know that they also have breakfast and lunch plans, too? The breakfast recipes have been created so that they provide you with a healthy, energetic start to your day. It’s a mix of classic breakfast favorites, as well as creative smoothies and brunch options. They also have a lunch plan that keeps you away from making the same old sandwich every day. The recipes are both kid-friendly and nutritionally balanced!
It’s hard to believe that we’re almost back in the school routine, but I can’t say that it won’t be a welcome change! I always get excited when school rolls back around and we start getting into a schedule – and that includes scheduled meals and not just whatever we can grab when we get hungry. And right now eMeals is offering a discount to help you get back in to the regular routine, too! See the details below on how to get 20% off of the meal plan subscription of your choice.

August 7, 2014 at 10:39 amI’d never heard of emeals before. That would be great for someone like me because I’m always having trouble deciding what to cook!

July 31, 2014 at 2:57 amI admire Mom’s that work hard to make sure their kids eat well at school. It is no fun to be hungry with a headache trying to learn and stay awake in class. Sounds like a very nice app. It should make things a lot easier.
