Where did the summer go? I keep seeing first day of school photos pop up on my feed. While we have another week left of summer vacation, we are most certainly getting ourselves in order to go back to school. We tackled our supply lists this week. I don’t love the effort it takes, but I do adore the cute supplies available.
Minted.com provides the frosting on the cake when we get our school supplies. We like to add labels to all our back to school goodies. Minted has a selection of labels that will allow you to find the one that matches the personality of each of your kids. I’ll blab the greatest feature of their labels early in this post…they are washable! Dishwasher, washing machine, etc. They are waterproof and non-toxic too.
I feel old saying this, but I have a junior higher. He didn’t want a flashy label this year, but we found a small, masculine, grey one called Black Lines that he liked for his supplies. I’m not going to call him out for losing things, but when/if something goes missing, we can at least say his name is on it. A GPS chip in the label would be nice too, but we will give Minted a few years to work on that technology. 🙂
My Annabelle is going to be in 5th grade and she’s my favorite to shop for. She loves all things girly, mint, pink, polka dot, floral, etc. She gets such a kick out of llamas and animal anything. When she saw her labels, she squealed with delight. She also got to pick out a notebook for her homework assignments. She picked the Gum Drop print. We’ve gotten one of these journals each year. She fills them with her assignments and they hold up great.
Have I mentioned these labels are washable? Why yes I have! Our kids wear uniforms to school and when they change for PE, it’s easy to grab someone else’s shirt. With the machine washable label, we are able to keep track of our clothing. I’m tempted to label socks, hair bows, belts, and more, but I’m holding myself back.
My baby is going to be in 1st grade. Charlie was super sticker happy. He individually stickered every pencil and glue stick! That’s what we are working on in this photo.
The smallest size label is perfect for little items and children that want a sticker on ALL THEIR THINGS.
He had a sticker on the front and back of his pencil bag too. He was cracking me up. I loved his enthusiasm. For the regular size sticker, we put his name and our school. Charlie Logan – Heritage Baptist Academy. My husband is the principal so we should lead the way with our school spirit.
I like to get some general stickers as well. A sheet of stickers for the LOGAN FAMILY. These are wonderful for items our whole family uses. They’ve been used on diaper bags, suitcases, lunch boxes, strollers, toys, dishes, thermoses, and more. Their best feature is that they are dishwasher safe. They last for years, we have some cups with stickers from 2 years ago.
The last item I grabbed from the Back to School section was personalized note cards. The junior high teacher is a sweet friend of mine. I was actually her teacher and volleyball coach many years ago. I wanted to start her year with a bit of encouragement. Teachers need to communicate with parents so I’m hoping the notecards will get well used. I always have a box of Minted notes. As you can see, mine are pretty cute too!
