best of back-to-school

bestofbacktoschoolMy kids officially start school next week.  And while I’m never ready to be done with the lazy days of summer, we are ready for school.  School supplies organized.  New clothes purchased.  Lunch ideas at the ready (though, admittedly, a few weeks in to the school year, I tend to forego all original thought and send the same lunch.  Every.  Single.  Day.)  While going through all of the to-do lists, shopping and prepping, there are a few back-to-school items that top my “Best of Back to School” list.  Here are my top three.

          1. Sprouting Threads.  I cannot say enough amazing things about this mom-owned company!  Like a Stitch-Fix for kids, their stylists send amazingly versatile, boutique outfits handpicked for your child.  While my daughter will wear anything, my son is not so easy to please.  He insists on comfort, prefers certain colors and leaves me at a lost.  When left to my own devices, I just buy athletic wear because I know I won’t get an argument, but must we wear athletic wear constantly?   I’ve gotten two shipments from Sprouting Threads and am still in shock at how much we both love the clothes they sent.  It’s comfortable without being athletic wear.  It’s on-trend and it totally fits my little guy’s style.  Plus, Sprouting Threads was kind enough to share a huge 25% off discount with our readers in this post highlighting more about their service.

                • Naturally Nutty Nut and Seed Butters.  This is something small that is going to be a huge help this school year!  We use peanut butter or sunflower seed butter in so many recipes from breakfast to lunch to snacks and our whole family is loving the amazing nut and seed butters from Naturally Nutty.  These organic, non-GMO butters make me feel completely not guilty about packing almost-daily PB&J for lunch!

        • New Wave Enviro Litter-Free Lunch Kit.  This lunch box is huge–which I love for two main reasons.  1.  I can fit a water bottle in the lunch box so it doesn’t sweat onto other things in the backpack (and doesn’t get left in the backpack at lunch time).  2. It fits an entire lunch AND snack and comes with lots of containers including a water bottle so I don’t have to use a single plastic baggie.  Big bonus for the environment and my somewhat disorganized child.  Loving this lunch box!

Also in my top 10 list is Wildkin backpacks, Fruitera smoothies (super easy organic smoothie ingredients delivered to your door. A healthy breakfast my kids can make themselves?  Yes, please!), Hello Fresh (recipes and the ingredients you need for them delivered to your door), and something fabulous for yourself from Filly Flair (my new favorite online boutique for myself).

I hope this post helps you finish off your back-to-school shopping!

Sprouting Kids sounds great! That’s so funny that your son is picky about what to wear! Looking at the photos he has great style! 🙂

We are fortunate enough to start school after Labor Day here, but yes! These are great things for anytime. They just happened to be my favorite back-to-school choices.
