Until recently whenever I saw the BRIO logo I would instantly think of their wooden railways. A classic staple in kids toy chests that just about everyone is familiar with. Did you know that BRIO also makes some other great toys for kids including some fantastic activity toys for babies?
First of all I have to say that while the BRIO High Chair Toy is not the first high chair toy we have tried it was by FAR the most loved. The other high chair toys my little guy had to play with were obviously boring to him or easily removed by the baby and then tossed to the floor (which rather defeats the purpose of having a special “high chair toy”). Neither of these are issues with the BRIO High Chair Toy. The suction cup to secure the toy is very strong but with just a tiny tug from an adult on the small lip it is easily removed. Also, while the other toys we had tried obviously bored my kiddo out of his noggin within a couple days the BRIO High Chair Toy is still entertaining him for significant periods of time weeks later. I think it is the combination of the Ferris wheel motion of the wooden blocks with with their brightly colored shapes and images along with the click and clack sounds that the blocks make as they spin that keep him entertained while I make food, do the dishes, or just need a short break.
The other BRIO activity toy that we have been trying out is the Motion Wobbler. I don’t know what it is but everyone in my family from the baby up to the adults are completely enthralled by the wobble motion of this toy. The weighted bottom with the bright red color is clearly a favorite of my baby for gumming on, but the top with the small rattle and spinning ball also keep him entertained. When bedtime is quickly approaching I usually leave the BRIO Motion Wobbler out as the one toy my little guy can play with to be entertained but not over stimulated. A win-win as far as I’m concerned!
