biscotti and kate mack for the win :: fall fashion for the {little} ladies

When I think of fall fashion, I think jeans, boots and chunky knits paired with scarves and hats. My daughter, however, is just not a chunky knit kind of girl. She prefers fun prints and ruffles paired with a great pair of leggings. Bright colors, a hint of sparkle. When we were searching through all of the options Biscotti and Kate Mack has to offer, she had no trouble finding a lot of great totally-her fall options.

It is so refreshing to see the whimsical style of Biscotti and Kate Mack. While I think it’s adorable when kids dress like mini-adults, I love it when I find a brand that lets kids be kids. They have their whole lives to dress like adults. While they’re kids, go ahead and let them mix stripes with plaid. Throw in a some sequins and tulle. When Biscotti and Kate Mack design it, things can be mixed up and still completely put together.

When her Material Girl dress came, my daughter’s first comment was “Oh, I wish I had gotten it yesterday.  Then I could have worn it for picture day at school!”  To say she loves it is an understatement.  It has ruffles.  It has a hint of bling.  It has plaid and stripes and pink.  And it all works together to look amazing.  Not only does it look great, but the materials are soft (if it’s not comfortable, she won’t wear it) and it’s made well–something I could see in her closet for a long time.  And since it’s not too heavy, it will be perfect for wearing on it’s own, layering for cooler weather or pairing with denim for a more casual look.

 

Also, it’s worth noting that Biscotti was awarded an Earnie Award for Best Dresswear.  These excellence in design awards are voted on only by industry experts and it’s a huge honor to receive such recognition!  Congratulations!
