turkey avocado wrap with boar’s head hummus :: simple recipe + review

A few weeks ago I was picking up some dinner from Publix and I ordered the sub sandwich that was the special. Instead of mayo or mustard, they used Boar’s Head hummus, and it was delicious! So we bought two varieties of Boar’s Head hummus for home: Roasted Pine Nut and Roasted Chipotle Pepper. We also got everything we needed to make Turkey & Avocado Wraps, a recipe from Boar’s Head. My husband and children had those with the Pine Nut hummus but I made a Buffalo Chicken & Avocado Wrap for myself using the Chipotle hummus. It has a nice kick to it and the chipotle and buffalo flavors worked well together.
boar's head
4 whole-wheat or spinach tortillas
4 tbsp Boar’s Head Roasted Pine Nut hummus4 large leaves of lettuce
1 medium tomato, sliced
1 medium avocado, sliced
1 pound Boar’s Head Turkey
4 slices Boar’s Head Swiss cheese

Spread 1 tbsp of Boar’s Head hummus onto each tortilla and add one lettuce leaf. Add two slices of tomato and 3 slices of avocado to each tortilla. Add turkey and Swiss cheese. Fold, wrap, cut, and serve. Goes well with pita chips and the remaining hummus.

Boar’s Head Hummus :: $4.69 per container

    Hummus is wonderful as a dip, spread, or just pass me a spoon! This is so versatile that it can be easily flavored by almost anything. In turn, it flavors your food. So it’s a WIN-WIN!!!
