My girls and I love finding great new music to share here on The SIMPLE Moms. The first way I always test out a new album is to put it in, turn it up, and see how the girls react.
When the first notes of Cat Doorman Songbook started playing my girls grabbed each other and started dancing around the room! I will admit, this was a first, and I instantly knew that Cat Doorman Songbook was quickly to become a new favorite.
As I type this up I’m listening to the album on my own (the kids are fast asleep) and I find myself happily tapping my toes. This is a FUN album!
Cat Doorman is the alternate ego for Julianna Bright, an acclaimed author and Portland indie music scene veteran. The Cat Doorman Songbook CD lets you experience both parts of her artistry because the CD comes with a beautifully illustrated 18-page songbook containing her hand-lettered lyrics.
Personally I really enjoyed “Two Old Shoes” but the song that had my girls do-si-dohing around the room was “Peaceful.”
