The countdown has started in our house. Just five more weeks until Summer Vacation. Five more weeks and we are done scrambling through homework and feverishly signing reading loges as we’re dropping kids off at school. Five more weeks until lazy days in the sun, fun at the beach, and quiet peaceful evenings on the porch. We can do this!
And Luigi Bormioli is all about helping us get ready to welcome that long awaited Summer Vacation!
Founded in 1946, this Italian glassmaker has specifically designed their glassware in a way to keep the glass and stems strong, brilliant and durable. But they are still dishwasher safe! Actually, they believe so strongly in their processes that they offer a 25-year Guarantee against chipping on the rim or foot as well as any discoloration that you might typically find after using dishwashers!
This is all really great news because, lets be honest, it will probably be another decade+ before I get around to getting new glassware!
Also, with their assortment of collections, you can truly find a look that fits your style and shop for all the different glassware pieces you might need in that collection.
These are from the Prestige collection, which is absolutely stunning!
The Prestige Pilsner is perfect for a cold hard cider or one of our favorite beers on those warm Summer days. And the Prestige Pinot Noir will make sipping our favorite wines as we watch the sun dip down on the horizon from our porch absolutely heavenly!
But, to make sure we’re really ready for all that Summer relaxing, we thought maybe we should test out the glassware with one of our favorite frozen drinks :: Strawberry Moscato Slushies!
Strawberry Moscato Slushies ::
Ingredients
1 bottle of Moscato
2 cups frozen strawberries
½ cup powdered sugar
Instructions
1. Blend together frozen strawberries, sugar (you can use less but you want this to be sweet), and a few splashes of Moscato until smooth.
2. Pour in the rest of the Moscato and blend again to completely mix.
3. Pour mix into ice cube trays and freeze.
4. After frozen, add those lovely little ice cubes to the blender and add a little splash of wine.
5. Blend until it becomes slush and pour into Luigi Bormioli glasses.
6. Garnish with some fresh strawberries and enjoy!
Making the mix into ice cubes is great because you can then slush-up as much or as little as you like! You can also try out different fruits or fruit combinations as different fruits come into season in your area this Spring and Summer! Hello, peaches!!!
So, now that you have a delicious summer drink recipe and you know where to pick up some beautiful new glassware, let the Summer begin!
A SIMPLE GIVEAWAY!
Luigi Bormioli wants to help kick off your Summer by giving away both sets of Luigi Bormioli glassware seen here in this post – one set of 4 Prestige Pilsner barware and one set of 4 Prestige Pinot Noir stemware (valued at $95). To enter simply use the rafflecopter form below!
