As we head into the holiday season I started my girls on a project to fill up two bags of toys and books to donate. After looking through our Christmas book collection I noticed a couple duplicates as well as 3 different Dinosaur Train books. After asking them if they thought one should go in the bag I was promptly and decisively told “No.”
With this little anecdote it should be no surprise that my girls were very excited to see the new Dinosaur Train products we got to try out. Here’s some fun new Dinosaur Train themed products we are excited to share!
First up I have to share what was hands down their favorite item. The Dinosaur Train Peel & Stick Wall Decals from RoomMates. As soon as I showed these to my girls we had to put them up on their bedroom walls. My kiddos now have a parade of Dinosaur Train friends floating over their heads as they drift off to sleep and it only took us about 10-15 minutes to put up the whole set (even with repositioning). Like all RoomMates, these decals are removable and reusable, and can be repositioned over and over again without damage or residue. Decals range in size from 1.1″ wide x 1.7″ high to 8.5″ wide x 11.6″ high; 4 Sheets 10″ x 18″.
If you’re looking to add to your Christmas/holiday book selection we have enjoyed reading the Little Golden Books, Dinosaur Train: Winter Lights, from Random House Kids. This book retells the Dinosaur Train episode where the Pteranodon family travels to the North Pole, celebrates Winter Solstice Day (the shortest day of the year), and learn about the Aurora Borealis.
Searching for the perfect stocking stuffer for your Dinosaur Train fan? The recently released Dinosaur Train: We Are A Dinosaur Family, DVD is sure to be a hit. This approximately 100 minute DVD contains 8 episodes of the hit PBS Kids show that are all themed around family fun. My girls especially enjoyed watching the “Meet the Grandparents” episode included on the DVD.
Last, but not least, I must tell you about the six new 24-piece Dinosaur Train jigsaw puzzles from Karmin. Each puzzle comes with a bonus laminated Dinosaur Fact Card and the sturdy cardboard pieces are perfect for the recommended 3+ age group. My youngest Dani just loves her “Troodon” puzzle that she can complete on her own from start to finish.
