I love seeing beautiful decorations at Christmastime. Unfortunately our house has small rooms so large decorations and trees can take up living space. So I’ve learned to decorate small spaces to make our home more festive (even with a small Christmas tree!)
A table topper. Whether it’s a centerpiece on your kitchen table or a coffee table, it’s fun to add a little something extra. I purchased this tray from a craft show and have been changing it seasonally. I loved it filled with gourds in the fall and am loving it dressed up for Christmas as well. A few ornaments and a candle really set the Christmas mood (even if it does double as a remote control holder).
Decorating wall art. Adding a wreath or a star to an existing part of your decor helps to spruce up (pun intended:) already existing decorations.
Stairway garland. If you don’t have a mantle, one way to hang stockings on a banister. One of my favorite decorations is our stairwell stockings!
Greenery! A little greenery can go a long way. I’ve been known to throw greenery in bathrooms, the kitchen–just about anywhere! I fill our porch pots with it as well. It’s cheap and lasts a long time!
What are your favorite ways to decorate small spaces?
