Do you have a whole mess of receipts piled sky high on your desk, shoved in a drawer, or lining the bottom of your purse? I never want to throw out a receipt in case I might need it later, but I HAD to come up with a better system. Have you seen the card boxes that are sold at Costco? This is a side note, but for around $14.99 you get a box of 25 beautiful cards. They seem to be stocked seasonally, but I buy a few boxes every year. They are on Amazon too. They are a great value, a great gift idea, and you’ll need one to clean up your receipts.
All you need to do is flip the dividers around and label them accordingly. I was specific when it came to the stores I shop a lot. Then I made some general tabs. As long as I use my system, I can always find an old receipt when needed and the reduced clutter makes me happy.
