comfort meets fashion with ragdoll and rockets

When it comes to fashion, my tween daughter has one priority. Comfort. If it’s comfortable, she will wear it. So I’m always looking for clothes that are comfortable but still fashionable.  As soon as I opened the package from Ragdoll and Rockets, I knew every piece would be a winner.  Not only is the clothing perfectly suited for girls and tweens (stylish and trendy without being overly adult), but it feels like butter.  These fabrics are so soft and smooth.  I honestly checked the website to see if they carry my size (girls size 2 to 16 only–I guess I’ll leave the fabulousness to my daughter).

I first heard about Ragdoll and Rockets when they were nominated for an Earnie Award for Best Tween Collection.  Since The Earnies are awards voted on by fashion industry experts, you know that the brands have proven themselves worthy of nomination.  When a brand can meld comfort with fashion and still appeal to the picky tween demographic. you know they have some talented designers on their hands.  While Ragdoll and Rockets specializes in casual, contemporary clothing, they carry everything from tees and leggings to mock fur vests and fringe dresses.  See the following pictures for just a small sampling of the amazing Ragdoll and Rockets clothes.

This Yumi baby dress is so easy to dress up or down, I can see my daughter wearing it to church, school and even for play. I love the added touch of the buttons on the sleeves.

 

What I love is that even the basic pieces have something to set them apart.  Contrasting stripes, a touch of fringe, buttons on the cuff of a dress.  All understated and classy touches.  I love the unexpected sweater piecing on the sleeves of this hi-low sweatshirt.  My daughter doesn’t love sweaters, so this sweatshirt is the best of both worlds–a fun sweater pattern on just a touch of the sweatshirt.

 

While the clothes are adorable all of their own, they also lend themselves to accessories–a great scarf or necklace or a fun hat for the girl who likes a little extra flair.  My daughter chose a fun hat to accessorize this bamboo fringe tunic (which is now her favorite shirt).

 

My favorite outfit of the bunch is this luscious mix tee with the drop shoulder and contrast stripe sleeve.  I love the simple design in the top and pants.  The pants look like gray jeans–great stitching and back pockets–but are a comfortable jersey fabric.  If you have a child who does not like jeans, these are perfect.
