I cannot even believe it’s already been five months since we brought our sweet girl home from the hospital. Mother’s Day made me think about so many of the blessings of being a momma to my two little ones, and I started looking back at pictures and memories of the past few months and all that has already happened and changed in that short amount of time. Thinking about those little memories brought lots of smiles for me. Those first few moments in the hospital after our sweet girl arrived were just incredible. Holding her close and looking at all the little details of her fingers, toes, and little nose were so overwhelmingly sweet and I am so thankful for those moments that I hope to never forget.
I also watched the sweetest video over and over of our little guy meeting his sister for the first time. He usually cannot stop talking about anything and everything, but as my husband carried him over to the hospital bed to meet her, he was speechless. He laid his head down next to her and just was still. These moments are forever in my heart.
When our son was born, I remember being in no hurry to leave the hospital. I knew we were going to be well taken care of while we there, and there was nothing pressing to rush home to. This time was a little different. I couldn’t wait to get home to our son and start our journey in our home as a family of 4. I was so thankful to know my parents were there waiting for us to help us with whatever we needed, and I was ready to get all those things done at the hospital to clear us to leave.
