It’s time for an update on the Costco 6 piece sectional couch that we bought last year. I’m not being paid to write about this couch, I’m simply sharing because it’s been a great buy for our family and it’s back in stock at Costco. After one year, our couch has been thrown up on, we’ve had a few spills, and we’ve moved it around countless times. It still looks brand new, it smells fresh, and we are as happy with it as the day we bought it. I’ve deodorized it when needed with Fresh Wave products. The color of the couch has been very forgiving when it comes to stains and I’ve been able to clean the couch with a damp rag. It’s been so easy to care for and I’m very happy that it’s held up so great this first year. We’ve shared many family nights watching movies and I fall asleep in the corner section quicker then I care to admit. It’s a very comfortable couch and I’m now the person that can’t make it through a TV show without snoozing. 🙂
Many of you have asked if this couch is online. It’s a WAREHOUSE ONLY sale. Check your local Costco because they should be in stock, I spotted them recently and they just shared on their FB page that they have this couch again while supplies last. Last year my Costco had them available from December to about March. HERE is a link to the specifics of this couch on Costco’s website.
Original Post from February 2017….
I have been on the lookout for a new sectional couch for our living room for the past few years. Yes, I said years! We’ve actually never purchased a couch for ourselves. Our couch we were replacing was a hand me down gift when we got married. It was an oh-so-very-comfortable wrap around tan couch, but it was from the late 90’s. The fabric was splitting it was so thin and it was time to find a new couch that fit our small space and budget.
Year after year I would slow down as I passed the sectional couches that Costco sells. We are on a very tight budget so I wanted to be extra sure that I was making a wise purchase. I had to research the quality, price, and of course measure the furniture too. After Christmas I saw THIS video on Costco’s Facebook page for a couch that could be arranged in 6 different ways. It was LOVE at first sight! I had to see this couch in person ASAP. My husband agreed that it would be a cool couch for our living room and we were excited to see if our Costco carried it. (not available online)
In January (2017) I walked in our Costco and there it was! In my head there were angels singing and a spotlight on the couch. I raced over to it and plopped myself right in the middle. The price {$899} was right and it was comfortable! It only came in one color (charcoal grey), but it’s very neutral in my opinion. Now my mom brain starts racing. Will this color hide stains? Will the fabric hide water spots? Does the quality seem acceptable for a family of 5 abusing it each day? The answer to all these questions is YES! The only thing I can’t speak for is the longevity of the couch since we just got it, but I’m impressed with the quality so far, it cleans up well, and it’s absolutely beautiful in our home.
Our entire home is only 1,190 sq. feet and the living room is the {heart} of our home. Our front door leads into our living room, it’s the biggest and central room of our house, it’s our piano room, TV room, etc. I was looking for a casual, fresh, and welcoming look for our room that greets us and our guests. We spend majority of our family moments in this space. I am thrilled to have such a comfortable and useable family room to make our memories.
I was actually inspired to do a little bit of decorating around our new couch. I took a few days to create THIS board on Pinterest and spent a whole morning walking around Hobby Lobby. I didn’t want to get into too major of a decorating overhaul, but rather work with our existing wall and carpet colors. All I had to add were a few new pictures, a mirror, wreath, and greenery to get the look I was going for.
You may recall, I’m quite frugal. I made both wreaths by myself. A $7 string of greenery was quite easy to wrap around a grapevine wreath (about $10). I had two very inexpensive wreaths in a matter of minutes. I’m not crafty! If I can make these wreaths- anyone can! The rest of my budget was spent on pictures and a few pots of greenery. Wreath Tutorial post is HERE.
I’ll leave you with a few of the configurations we’ve been able to use in our living room. These aren’t even the 6 demonstrated in Costco’s video. There are endless possibilities.
I should add, the couch locks together underneath. A friend of mine saw me gushing about our couch on my personal social media and got the same one. She has hardwood floors and mentioned that the locking feature is quite helpful for keeping the pieces aligned. Costco really thought of it all when they created this clever couch! If you are in the market for a new couch, I hope this post is helpful. I know it sounds silly to be in love with furniture, but since we are in the Valentine’s spirit….I do {LOVE} our couch… ALOT! Maybe your Valentine will whisk you off to Costco for a new couch!

January 14, 2018 at 4:47 pmWe have the same couch and we also love it! Really holds up, and easy to vacuum the dog hair from it as well! My only wish is that it had one more corner piece. We’ve set up alerts on Craigslist and Facebook Marketplace to see if we can find a used one somewhere so we can add on to it!
