craft time fun with kits from seedling :: review + coupon

I have got to admit that I’ve been looking at Seedling kits for some time for my girls but had never quite made the commitment to purchase. The kits always looked so interesting and varied and I was sure I’d find one to interest my girls, but did I really want to take on another craft kit that ended up in the trash a week later? Now that my girls and I have tried out two of Seedling’s fun activity kits I know that I should not have worried!

First of all, we tried out the Make Your Own Indie Bangles kit as well as the Pom Pom Hair Accessories kit. Both of these kits came with enough supplies that both my girls were able to put their own creative spin on the kit (which is good because otherwise there would have been a HUGE fight over who got which).

Like all Seedling kits both of our kits came with all the materials they needed to complete either of their crafts, minus scissors, which I would assume most families already have on hand. While the kits contained all the needed materials, they also explicitly encourage kids to incorporate additional supplies that they may have already around their homes. I though this was nice, especially since it gives kids even more creative license with each kit.

After we opened the kits each of my girls picked out the supplies of their own choice and got to work on their individual creations. A good thing to note about the pom poms were that they have extra long strings to tie them onto the hair accessories. This makes it easier for little hands to tie and retie until they have the perfect creations. I love how each of their creations for both kits turned out so differently and my kiddos couldn’t be prouder!
