Creaturon Cards is a game that teaches kids, ages 5 – 12, about real animals, while it entertains. Created by moms (and sisters) Meghan Obando and Kiera Newman, these cards are colorful, full of information and can be played in math challenges of different levels, depending on your children’s math ability. Each card has a fun illustration of a real animal, information about that animal in symbols, sentences, and numbers that depict its strength, rarity and adaptations. These adaptations show how the animal survives in the wild, and are one of the ways that the cards can be played against each other to simulate a challenge in the wild. The cards are being used in classrooms and camps because they are easy to understand, engaging, and educational.
The Creaturon.com website takes learning to the next step by providing additional information about each of the featured animals. Currently, there are 60 different Creaturon Cards, with 60 more due out by Christmas. Cards are sold in random packs of 7 Creaturons, 1 Rarity Points card, and the rules and symbols cards. Kids love the combination of animals they know and love, like the Red-eyed Tree Frog and Reindeer, and unique creatures like the Axolotl and Blue Dragon Sea Slug.
We received a set of Creaturon cards to try out and have fun with. My son is 5 years old and just loves figuring out what all the different animals are. We had so much fun with these cards and all the facts about each animal. So much to learn and have fun while you are doing it.
