My favorite memories of when I was a child is when we made holiday cookies and decorated them. We did it every year and I loved it. I want to continue this tradition with my children.
With Walkers shortbread cookies, I was able to quickly add in a cookie decorating day in the midst of all the hustle through the holidays this year. I was sent a box of Walkers festive shape cookies, a tube of frosting and a container of goodies to decorate them with. My kids had a great time decorating them and making them just perfect.
First of all, I have to say that the cookies themselves are the best shortbread cookies I have ever had. I have to say that they almost were not decorated because we could just eat them just out they are. I also loved how the Wilton frosting was in a tube ready to use. Makes it easy and not messy. Then add on the container of decorative candies that are easy to pour and give you the right amount. It was perfect for my kids to pour and use while decorating the cookies.
All in all we had great time decorating cookies. This is the perfect way to minimize the kitchen stress and mess (and potential for burnt cookies).
