Did you know kids who drink 2 drink boxes a day add more than 30 pounds of sugar to their diet every year? And a disposable juice box can sit in a landfill for more than 300 years!
WHOA! After reading that statement from the manufacturer I was stopped in my tracks! I grew up on sugary drinks, milk, occasional pop (yep pop, NOT soda…I’m from Cleveland after all!), and very little water! As I grew into adulthood, it has always been a struggle for me to drink water! So, when I became a Mother, I vowed that my children would not be pop drinkers and be limited on their juice intake! I wanted them to enjoy water! Well, as time has gone on, I have caved a little bit, and my kids are given ONE juice box a day with lunch! Otherwise we sip on milk or water! They know the rule…and, quite honestly, they don’t even seem to enjoy the taste of pop! Whew….
However, reading the statement above has made me rethinking things. HELLOOOO Drink in the Box!
I was fortunate enough to be sent a Drink in the Box for review and my oldest son had an immediate interest in this product! He loves fruits (and vegetables) and was excited to try the recipes I showed him on the website! He wanted to try the Berry Good! and my other son wanted the Strawberry/Pineapple Chiller! They LOVED it! We now have our new and healthier lunch time regime with Drink in the Box! Oh, and did I mention, another great way to use this product is to dilute the juice your littles are drinking!
What do I love about Drink in the Box? It is a healthy, reusable option which can be used to replace disposable juice boxes! It is BPA, BPS and Phthalate-free! Also, Drink in the Box is completely dishwasher safe! It comes in 4 different colors and 2 different sizes. Drink in the Box also doesn’t have the same issues as regular juice boxes… there is no leaking or squirting! During our taste testing the Drink in the Box fell over on the table and not a drop was dripped!
What does my little trio love about Drink in the Box? They loved experimenting with the different fruit recipes and my daughter enjoyed having some milk during her “experiment” to help her feel included! We decided this is a MUST have and will be great to take with us on our summer vacation as it will travel nicely!
We even decided that our next adventure will be…. SMOOTHIES!
