What mother doesn’t need a day of relaxation? As a doTERRA Wellness Advocate, I am finding new ways to do everyday things with all natural supplements. Yes, I even use essential oils to cleanse my face. I love how they make my skin feel afterwards. Lavender is great for your skin and I use this oil daily. This DIY Lavender Makeup Remover is a simple recipe anyone could make. You could even pick-up the ingredients for an older child to make for their grandmother. What a great way to tell mom you love her by making a homemade gift that will rejuvenate and cleanse her skin. Most of the ingredients you probably already have at home.
Ingredients:
- 3 tablespoons of distilled water
- 1 tablespoon of witch hazel
- 2 tablespoons of fractured coconut oil
- 4 drops lavender essential oil
- 1 pack of cotton pads
- 1 small jelly jar
Step 1: First add your 3 tablespoons of distilled water and 1 tablespoon of witch hazel (if you have sensitive skin you may want to purchase alcohol free) to your small jelly jar.
Step 2: Now add 2 tablespoons of doTERRA’s Fractured Coconut Oil, and 4 drops of Lavender Essential Oil to the small jelly jar. Not only are these two ingredients essential for cleansing, but they will bring back a youthfulness to your skin.
Lavender is often considered a must-have oil to keep on hand at all times due to its versatile uses, including calming and relaxing properties that promote peaceful sleep and ease feelings of tension. Fractionated Coconut Oil is another must have oil it is an absorbent and light carrier oil that will help to increase essential oil distribution while leaving skin feeling smooth and soft.
Step 3: Once you have added all your liquid ingredients add your 100% cotton pads (enough to fill the jar). Turn your jar upside down until all the cotton pads are saturated.
Step 4: Last use a pad to remove your makeup. Make sure to moisturize after you have cleaned your face.
