I told you I have become obsessed with resin. This is A Simple DIY :: Resin Christmas Tree Ornament that will look beautiful on anyone’s Christmas Tree. My daughter helped me make this ornament. I wanted to try the Dispersion Color that I received from Counter Culture DIY (CCDIY). Our color choices were Jade, Sky Blue and White Snow. So we decided on a more traditional color for the tree and went with Jade with two different green glitters. I have bee sharing so many ResinDIY’s, but I didn’t want to wait until after Christmas to share these with you so that you have time to make your own.
Materials::
- CCDIY Jade Dispersion Color
- CCDIY Glitter
- CCDIY Artist Resin Part A and B
- CCDIY Christmas Ornament Mold Set of 2
I cannot emphasize enough that you must mix equal parts of Part A and B to get the best results for your artist resin. Other than one project we had a very successful Resin Pouring Day! I will say that when you are using these thicker molds make sure you use the correct artist resin that is designed for thicker molds or it will have a difficult time drying throughout the mold. I have had a few that I have had to get experimental with in order to use them.
When using Dispersion Color use it sparingly. Literally I dipped a toothpick into the pigment and mixed it into the resin. As you can tell this gives a very rich color with very little transparency. I would probably had used a different color for my Christmas Tree so that you could see if better on a green tree. Next time I will try some bolder colors instead of traditional. Make sure to check out my DIY Resin Snowflake Ornament from last week.
What do you think of my resin collection I have been sharing?
