dreamworks: rise of the guardians :: fun easter basket idea and movie review

Rise of the Guardians Easter Gift PackWe sure have been sharing some pretty fabulous movies with you lately.  I have yet another one for you today from DreamWorks.  Did you see last week that Rise of the Guardians was released?  How many of you have already purchased it, rented it or plan to in the near future?  My hope with this post today is that my impression of the movie will give you reason to go out and purchase it.  But not only purchase it, go deeper than that.  How about a fun little idea for an Easter basket?  Are you looking for a fun idea to spice up this years’ Easter baskets?  Look at what was put together with Rise of the Guardians being the centerpiece and topic.

There is a little bit of candy but a whole lot of fun!  To list it for you, here is everything that is included ::

  • watering can
  • bunny ears (Preslee thinks she is hilarious with these on!)
  • pot for flower seeds and seeds
  • Rise of the Guardians DVD and Hopping Eggs Gift Pack
  • Rise of the Guardians Stickers and Tattoos
  • Rise of the Guardians egg decoration goodies
  • A sweet reusable Rise of the Guardians tote
  • fun little night light that the girls have commandeered to their rooms 🙂
  • candy! 🙂dreamworks rise of the guardians

We took Thursday night and surprised our girls with a fun night in, featuring all the above goodies and the movie.  It was awesome and priceless!  This can EASILY be duplicated in your home too!  Visit your local store which carries this DVD (Target had mad amounts everywhere when I was there this weekend), then travel the aisles and create your own home viewing party/Easter basket set-up!

I do want to take a minute to share with you my thoughts on the movie.  To sum it up…just fabulous!  I hadn’t seen many trailers and my girls haven’t really asked much about this one.  Since we have watched it, the girls have each asked to watch it again since Thursday. While I won’t give you a play by play of the movie, know that it didn’t scare my children (ages 3 and 6…I thought it might with the mention of Boogeyman when reading about the movie)…and there were many happy times in the movie where we were all laughing and jumping around.  The girls loved the movie and my husband and I loved it too.  The Actors (Chris Pine, Alec Baldwin, Jude Law, Isla Fisher, Hugh Jackman) were outstanding too!
