I don’t know about you, but storage in my kitchen is at a premium. I love to entertain and use super cute seasonal dishes, but there is no way I’m going to buy serveware for Christmas, Easter, birthdays, Thanksgiving and everything in between. So when I found the secret to having dishes for every occasion in the space it takes for just one set, I knew I had to share the love!
I’ve shared Nora Fleming with you all a few times before here and here. Nora is an artist who makes gorgeous classic white ivory serving dishes and dresses them up with colorful, hand-painted “minis”. While a picture is worth 1,000 words, I think it’s best to see Nora Fleming pieces in use so I’m sharing this video for you to see how to easily switch out minis for a custom look. Side note: I tried to make a cute YouTube video of myself sharing Nora Fleming, but kids/dogs/kids’ friends/errant balls kept interrupting (none of you can relate, right??!). So I’ll leave it to the adorable Nora.
Not only do I love to use Nora Fleming when I entertain, but I think this is a perfect gift for grandmas, moms and mother-in-laws. It’s so fun to pick out a classic piece and then allow your kids to pick out a mini to go with it. Then for Mother’s Day, each child can pick out one more mini. Soon enough, you’ve given an entire collection. Each piece is useful but also has great sentimental value. It lets your kids get involved in gift giving but sets parameters so you know the gift will be loved!
Seriously, friends. My kitchen is tiny. Teeny, teeny tiny. I have one area for serving dishes and since every one of them is Nora Fleming, I’m able to have an adorable table for any occasion. Definitely one of my all-time favorite finds. Check out all of the minis and share your favorite with me!
