This is the time of year I do the most online shopping it seems. However, if you ever shop online, you must read this post. You are missing out on CASH in your pocket.
Ebates.com is a site that tracks your online purchases and gives you a percentage of cash back. For instance, I love TARGET and the 5% discount I get when I use my Target debit card (read HERE). Because Target has FREE shipping – no minimum- when I use my debit card, I often can save more money shopping in my pj’s then going to the store. Percentages change, but Ebates currently is offering 5% cash back. It ranges from week to week, and sometimes it’s as much as 10% cash back! So you can combine your 5% Target debit card discount with the Ebates cash back. There are so many stores with varying cash back percentages. Let me explain how it works…
Step #1– sign up for Ebates with THIS link. Get $10 for signing up!
Step #2- go to www.ebates.com and search for the store you wish to shop with online (ie. Target) and it will show you the % of cash back being offered. Click the SHOP NOW button and a new window will open which indicates your purchase with that store is being tracked by Ebates. Complete your shopping as usual in that new window with the store you chose.
Step #3– you will get a big fat check in the mail every few months with all your cash back earnings.
I signed up for Ebates in 2010 and I’m a happy customer of 2 years. It that time period I have received $188.93 in checks from Ebates! It adds up a little at a time, but for the minimal work of pulling up the Ebates screen before shopping online I’m thrilled to have nearly $200!
