Who likes pie? Did you know that March 14th is National Pi Day? For most people, this “holiday” is all about math, but for Edwardsâ desserts it’s all about “PI.E,” which happens to be the mirror reflection of 3.14!
They contacted me, so I could share with you their delicious pies. My favorite is the Key Lime Pie. Edwards Desserts is unveiling three new flavors: Salted Caramel, Mounds Coconut and Banana Crème. I received 2 coupons to try out Edwards. I mean I could seriously eat the whole pie…..well not really but lots of it. I was bummed I couldn’t get one of the new flavors but did try out the Turtle and Key Lime Pie. OH MY HEAVEN!! The most delicious pies ever. I took both of them to work because I did NOT want to end up eating them all. Everyone at work LOVED them. I’m not surprised.
The Edwards Baking Company was founded in 1950 by namesake Tom Edwards as a small retail bakeshop in Atlanta, Georgia. The Edwards family delivered a variety of baked goods to local restaurants, schools, and hospitals. Due to the success of the dessert business, Mr. Edwards decided to focus solely on producing pies. During the 1960s, Edwards introduced frozen pre-baked pies that were sold to retail stores. The success of the Lemon Meringue Pie led the company to expand to other crème pie varieties. In the late 1970s, the Edwards Baking Company introduced a line of individually packaged pie slices enabling consumers to indulge in their favorite pie one slice at a time.
What is also awesome about Edwards is that they have single serving slices. It comes 2 in a box so you don’t have to buy a whole pie if you have a little craving for some pie. You can find these at your local grocer in the frozen section.
