Chuck E. Cheese is a favorite place for many kids! Games, pizza, tokens, music, dancing, prizes are just a few of the many things making kids want to be there! Chuck E. Cheese has recently partnered with Harper Collins Publishing to promote special reading events in the store!
I had the opportunity to bring my 2 little nephews to one of these events, and they really enjoyed the whole experience! We were greeted by Chuck E. Cheese when we got there, and the boys were able to sit down and listen to Danny and the Dinosaur presented by a team member along with Chuck E. Cheese. They also had coloring activities and special treats for each child there! We finished out the afternoon with some delicious pizza and a lot of fun games for the kids!
I love any activity that encourages kids to read, and I think it’s awesome that a place like Chuck E. Cheese that attracts so many families with young kids will promote books, learning, and reading. These “Read With Chuck E. Cheese” events will take place every Tuesday in May and June and begin at 11 am and 6 pm.
The book chosen by HarperCollins for May is Danny and the Dinosaur, the story of a boy
who meets a prehistoric playmate in a museum. The dinosaur comes to life and the two
friends encounter extraordinary adventures together. In June, the featured book is A Green Green Garden.
Little Critter and his family plant and grow their own fruits and vegetables to prepare a delicious dinner. These books are both from the “I Can Read” series.
Chuck E. Cheese also has an incentive for young readers to keep track of their reading to earn 5 tokens at their visit. These forms can be downloaded from chuckecheese.com/activities. Once you complete the calendar, you can redeem your prize at your local store.
Make sure you take advantage of this special opportunity at your local Chuck E. Cheese. Your kids will have a blast and also have the chance to hear a great story. I am also excited to be offering both books to 2 lucky readers!

May 28, 2015 at 11:07 amReading at Chuck E. Cheese is a great idea for a bunch of reasons. Mostly because anything that encourages kids to read or exposes little ones to books and the fun of reading or being read to is awesome.
