I am so proud of my daughter! She is only a junior in high school, but her responsibility exceeds most 16-year-olds. She has joined the Praise Team at church and on a rotational basis leads worship for the youth. The night of the Soccer Banquet she had to lead worship then go to the banquet, but the person in charge of the banquet put the wrong time on the information sent out. Instead of the banquet being at 8 p.m. it was changed to 6 p.m. and my daughter had to lead worship at 6:30. I am proud to say she missed the banquet to lead worship. Most 16-year-olds would have made excuses, but she was focused on worship and not the banquet even though she had been looking forward to it.
She did a great job leading worship then we drove over to the high school after the awards ceremony was over, but made it just in time to take team pictures. My daughter made All-Region for all of her incredible corner kicks like the one I have shown here. Her coach said it was unheard of all the goals made from her corner kicks! You can see more of her kicks here. She has been playing soccer since she was six and has played most positions on the field. However, her favorite position is wing. It allows her to show her speed and her BIG FOOT (meaning she can really boot the ball). In this video my daughter scored an Olimpico which is short for “Gol Olimpico” in Spanish means an Olympic goal.
