It is no secret that my family loves to visit our nearest National Parks and Lakeshore. I shared last year about the National Park Service (NPS) centennial and am glad to follow the NPS social media accounts to stay informed about important things like Free Entrance Days.
Right now I even have an old college friend who has steadily been working their way through visiting the various areas included in the National Park Services system. This is a huge undertaking seeing as the NPS includes 413 areas spread over every state, the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico, American Samoa, and the Virgin Islands.
If you’re the parent of a 4th Grader (or the home-school equivalent and 10 years old) your child can receive an Every Kid in a Park pass for you and your family to have free access to hundreds of parks, lands, and waters for a whole year!
The program starts September 1st of their 4th grade year and runs through August 31st so there is still plenty of time to take advantage for those of you with kids in the 4th grade this year. Your 4th grader will need to participate in an online activity from a device where they can print out a paper voucher upon completion.
