Thankfully only one of my girls inherited my sensitive skin. Unfortunately, she took it to a whole new level by adding in some very mild eczema. Even more unfortunate for her is where it’s located… on her butt. Now, I wouldn’t usually share where her skin condition is except in this case to help you can understand why we’d really, really want to keep that under control. It’s just never socially acceptable to scratch at the itchy dry skin on your butt. Never. Ever.
You may remember that SIMPLE mom Kate shared her Exederm experience with you earlier last year (review here), and like Kate, I have found the Exederm brand products to be pretty darn fantastic. So fantastic that I thought they needed to be shared again now that it’s winter and those dry skin problems tend to flare up.
We’ve been using the Baby Eczema Wash and Baby Eczema Cream for a few weeks now on our sensitive skinned kid. She’s no longer technically a baby but at 4 years old she can still benefit from this ultra-sensitive skin care with no irritants, colors, or fragrance.
The Baby Eczema Cream is my new favorite moisturizing product. It’s super thick and a little goes a long way, but it’s still light and not greasy at all. Plus, since within 2 weeks of starting to use this in conjunction with the Baby Eczema Wash, we had my daughter’s eczema under control to the point where it doesn’t itch anymore at all!

February 15, 2012 at 5:30 pmI’ll 2nd this lotion for being great. Our 4 year old had eczema and nut allergies. I had to be careful I didn’t get lotions with anything with coconut oils or any other nut oils that some lotions can have in addition to needing a good lotion for his itchy skin. This stuff is pure and eczema friendly! 🙂
