I think another place that many do not think about securing is their slider. There is only a simple little lock on there. I am not sure how easy it would be to get open but I know it is easy for kids to leave it unlocked. For this reason, I was happy to review the Master Lock Door Security Bar. It is very easy to install and fits most standard doors and sliding patio doors.
- Rugged 20 gauge steel construction
- Pivoting ball joint assures full contact with floor
- Padded foot provides sure grip without scratching
- Top piece removes for sliding door application
- Dual function door security bar for hinged and sliding doors
I love the fact that my kids are not able to remove the bar without help. The bar stays in there very tight to keep the door closed and locked in place.
On my list next, is the windows. I feel like since my windows are on ground level that I need to keep those secure as well.
What is one thing you do to keep your house safe and secure?

December 5, 2015 at 9:43 pmThis is fabulous. I didn’t even know this existed. We just have a piece of wood we purchased at Home Depot. Need to get me one of these.
