I have a love & hate relationship with working out. I get intimated by the “beautiful” people at the gym, but I know I need to be there. I’m never sorry that I made time for the gym. However, I need to set myself up for success when I get there. Part of that is when all the mirrors around me are showing me every side of myself that I don’t want to see, I need to keep my confidence in tact. That’s where Fancy Fit Boutique has played an important role in my fitness. I was given the Bright Layered Tank (in my favorite color) and it is extremely comfortable.
It isn’t so magical that it makes me love every second of my run, but here are a few of my favorite things about this tank:
- Hides my muffin top
- Built in sports bra is comfortable
- Stays in place when I run
- Washes great
- Material breaths
- I feel cute
I’m a real person with a real body. I have a solid 10 lbs. to lose and my “baby” is 16 months old. It’s barely classified as “baby weight” anymore. (I know 10 lbs. isn’t horrific, but it’s been the hardest after baby #3). I saw the models on the site wearing this shirt and was hoping it would be as flattering on my figure. I’ll keep it realistic…I don’t look like the models, but I feel very comfortable with how I do look in the shirt and it gives me the motivation to keep working at what I want. It gives me the confidence I need to pretend I belong with the beautiful people working out around me.
Besides the vanity aspect of my trips to the gym, I desire functional workout clothes. When I run, I do not have to tug this shirt down because it doesn’t creep up. When I sweat, the shirt wicks it away. Ok, I’m not positive it does that, but it doesn’t become a clinging mess and I don’t have big armpit rings like I do in a regular ol’ shirt. It’s a very comfortable and breathable top. Because I’m so dedicated to this blog, I even snapped a few selfies at the gym. I went late at night and waited til everybody was gone in my area. The red face is the 45 minutes I had to spend on the elliptical waiting for the place to clear out. 🙂
I have an obsession with matching things. It makes me happy. The headband is from Fancy Fit Boutique as well. It is awesome! It has an adjustable strap that lets me make it the perfect size for my head. My daughter who is almost 5 can wear it on the smallest setting as well. She thinks that’s pretty great, but I’m selfish and I don’t let her wear it often…because I want to wear it. It’s an adorable chevron headband that doesn’t slip. Win-Win! Speaking of winning, do you want a $50 giftcard to Fancy Fit Boutique?

August 12, 2014 at 1:27 pmI walk my dog almost daily. I have 50 – 70 lbs to lose and would just like to be fitter for my teen sons, who love to camp and explore, as do I. And you don’t even look like you have any weight to lose!!!! I like the mint/black tank top combo.

August 12, 2014 at 10:48 amI make it a point to try and work 5 out of 7 days of the week. I’m working towards losing 50 lbs but right now I’m more focused on intervals of 10 lbs. Better to start out small rather than feel overwhelmed down the road.
