Fiber One® Cereal just launched two new cereal flavors and they sent me a few boxes to try for this review. I was already a big fan of Fiber One products, as in, I eat the 90 calorie chocolate fudge brownies almost every day! I tested the Maple Brown Sugar and Cranberry Almond cereals. There are a lot of reasons not to eat sugary cereals, but for me it always bothered me that I could be more hungry an hour after breakfast then if I had skipped. The protein and fiber combination is just what my morning routine needed to keep me satisfied. I like to eat a bowl for breakfast and head off to the gym. I not only am satisfied, but I’m not ready to eat a house after my workout. It stays with me. If you are dieting and watching calories, don’t shy away from this cereal. One bowl is 220-260 (with milk) calories which is more then most cereals, BUT you won’t feel the need to snack. I eat fewer calories in the big picture when I have a sufficient breakfast.
I must talk to you about the taste. Often fiber rich foods taste like a box. I’ve tried cereals that I honestly think the box would have tasted better. I love the crunchy pecans and granola that is sweetened with maple and brown sugar and the mix of crunchy almonds, cranberry pieces, and granola is a fantastic combo too. A serving of these Fiber One® Protein cereals provides 10 grams of protein with milk, as well as 20% of your daily value of fiber. That gets you started on the right path for the day! I have heard people worry about eating that much fiber. Honestly, there was no wind breaking, cutting of cheese, or stepping on ducks. It played no windy affect on my system. It’s a satisfying, yummy cereal that keeps my tummy content and full for hours.
So if you are looking to increase your protein, but don’t have time to whip up eggs or a fancy protein packed breakfast, grab your household some Fiber One® cereal. Healthy and nutritious can be delicious too! (sorry, couldn’t help myself with the silly rhyming)

March 31, 2014 at 8:04 pmI get bored of breakfast easily, but I absolutely have to eat before work. Sometimes it’s a bagel, cereal, smoothie, yogurt, and usually a fruit. On weekends I’m more likely to do eggs, bacon, and toast. the cranberry almond fiber one sounds yummy, I would bring it to work for an afternoon snack.

March 28, 2014 at 3:23 pmI usually have a bowl of cold cereal during the week, on weekends I might make eggs, or if I’m feeling ambitious, homemade waffles. I’d LOVE to try the Fiber One protein cereal; I think I’m always hungry shortly after eating breakfast because of a lack of protein.

March 24, 2014 at 12:07 pmI’m guilty of skipping on weekdays as well, but do try to grab a granola bar when I have some on hand. On the weekends though, I’m pretty good about having a family breakfast so will make eggs, pancakes, etc for all of us! I’ve tried the Fiber One protein bars and love how good they taste regardless of being so high in fiber and protein
