My parents recently visited, and our time with them, as always, was so sweet! I often wish that we lived closer so that we could be there for everyday things, but being with them for a couple weeks straight makes me thankful for quality time spent together. My kids love waking up to them being here, and we enjoyed lots of fun things everyday. One thing I always appreciate when they come is the help they always are with the kids and little projects.
With little ones, I rarely find time to sit down and have a quiet cup of coffee because nap time is usually time to get things done and catch up on dishes and laundry. My parents in so many little ways have helped with things all over the house, and I’ve found myself having a few minutes a day to just sit and enjoy talks with them, drink a cup of coffee without having to reheat it, and even do a little reading.
Community Coffee is one of my favorites, and this fall they’ve come out with two new flavors. Southern Bread Pudding and Pumpkin Praline are the new flavors I’ve added to my K Cup collection. I shared some of their regular flavors and iced coffee this summer, and I am enjoying the new ones as they come out. The Southern Bread Pudding is my favorite of the two! The coffee was bold and smooth and there was just a slight hint of fall flavor.
My goal as I get back to our regular routine is to take time to out to find some quiet time to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee, or a phone call with an old friend, or even a good book. There will always be things to get done, but I don’t want to miss out on some of the sweet things in life.
