I saw a post on Facebook of a mother looking for someone to give her two daughters private soccer lessons, and sent her a private message on my daughter’s behalf. My daughter has been playing soccer for seven years and I thought this would be a great opportunity for her. She was looking for someone inexpensive and wasn’t opposed to a high school student giving lessons. Not only would it be a chance for my daughter to earn some money, but also it would look great on her college applications. She is currently in the 10th grade, but it is never too early to start working on your child’s high school resume.
My daughter was so excited about the chance to give soccer lesson and earn some extra money. Unfortunately her first scheduled session was a no show, but she got an hour of shooting time so that she will be prepared for her session today. Over the summer she wanted me to advertise her services such as babysitting and soccer lesson, but I didn’t know if anyone would take her seriously since she wasn’t driving. At fourteen I don’t think that teens are taken seriously, but for some reason fifteen seems to be the magical age for parents to trust that they are old enough for more responsibilities.
Do your children give lessons to younger children?
